The rules for live sessions
Caribbean music only
A live session must be a music session and the music must be Caribbean - dancehall, soca, reggae, calypso, zouk, kompa, steelpan, dub, ska, bashment, riddim or a Caribbean mixed set. Sessions that are not music, or are music from outside that tradition, will be ended and the recording removed.
You are on camera and on the record
Everything you broadcast is recorded to one file as it goes out. That file is your recording to download, and it carries a caribbeanvibez.com watermark that cannot be removed. While a recording is running a red bar sits across the top of the page saying so, with a running clock, and it cannot be dismissed - so you are told, continuously, for as long as it lasts.
Play what you have the right to play
You are responsible for the music in your set. Do not broadcast anything you do not hold or licence the rights to. If a rights holder complains we will take the recording down.
Nothing illegal, nothing hateful, nothing sexual
No nudity or sexual content, no violence, no drugs, no abuse or hate against anyone, and nothing that breaks the law where you are. Viewers can report a session while it is running.
No under-18s broadcasting
You must be 18 or over to run a live session.
Reports can end your access
Viewers report sessions, not comments - there are no comments on live sessions. Enough separate reports on one session, or one review by us, and you will not be able to go live again. Existing recordings may also be removed.
These sit inside the site terms, and what we keep is covered in the
privacy notice. New to it? Read the guide.
